Letting Go Of The Past
Have you heard people say – You can lose someone if they are yours. If they were never yours, you never lost them. Some of us are obsessed with our ex lover and cannot get over it. Letting go of the past is the best thing for you.
Yes it is a loss and you can get depressed. Even going through the break up and after that is a difficult time. It is very traumatic and the pain is very intense as it is a matter of heart.
What happened or who did what is not important anymore. Just forget about it, forgive them and get on with your normal life. You should not have any expectations either from life or future and just take each day as it comes by.
Most of us is privileged not to experience this misery often, this contributing to the fact that in most cases we do not know how to behave and to face the circumstances. The following comments may help you to let go and go on:
Cry- just cry your heart out and get it out. Tears actually help you feel better by making your heart light. Do not suppress your tears, let the flow.
Hold on to your religious believes. Knowing that there is Something greater and more significant than your pain and suffering. There is something charismatic in this. For every time you place your grieve in the Healer’s Hands, some unexplained good come across your way. Be on the look out for the good and positive things that comes your way in the form of support and love.
Focus on yourself and not the other person. Pity yourself and find happiness within you. Fill up your loneliness with your activities and work. You have it in you and can make it happen.
You may become successful in blocking your agony for some time, but it may come back to you again. So be prepared and when it comes back, kick it back. Look at the bright side of life and enjoy your current life.
Everybody loves to say forgiveness sets you free, up to that moment where you need to be the one that have to forgive. Then it becomes more easily said than done! However, what or who ever you might blame for the loss of your relationship, bitterness will prolong the negative feelings you have. Although you may not forgive the person/s in person at least do it in your heart.
