England Players Couldnt Handle German Youngsters
English supporters in this World cup were hoping from great performance from England. But that never happened because England were sent packing in the last 16 by Germany. Not just sent packing there absolutely smashed up. I watched the game at my local pub and the pub owner wasn’t very happy especially when he broke his antique oak furniture because England were absolutely awful against Germany. He told me that it was his grand father’s furniture which survived World war 2 and the fire at their old home.
The story is awesome isn’t it? I certainly found it interesting. Now let’s talk about how in the last 16 England were knocked out. Many say they didn’t really show what they were made off in the whole World cup let alone last 16, which I think is very true. Though I did think England played a bit better than their group matches but were unlucky not to be 2 each in half time. They still had a chance in the second half to show how good they are but that didn’t happen. Germany just blew past them and the goals England conceded were just because of awful defending.
Having saying all that give Germany some credit, even though they have a young team they have tremendous spirits. They have shown they can do well even without their top players. Michael Ballack has been missing from the centre midfield and Bastian Schweinsteiger has taken the role and leadership with ease. The new comers Thomas Muller and Mesut Ozil have been influential for Germany. Shame Rooney could not star for England but was he injured? I still feel the injury he suffered when playing for Manchester United was still in the back of his mind and was not fully fit. I am sure he had not fully recovered from that injury and it does make a difference.
Even I wanted to break and throw my New England furniture & black ash furniture at that horrible English’s performance at the World cup.
